The Use of ZIPPS Skiwaxes - Help for Beginners
The Function of Ski Waxes
When skis glide, there is friction between the ski base and the snow: wet and dry friction. Without wax, friction increases, which noticeably impairs speed. This is why regular maintenance of the base with ski wax is necessary. Waxing ensures optimum gliding properties. Thanks to the water and dirt-repellent properties of ski wax, a double effect is achieved. Fluorine content further enhances these properties. Fluorine waxes are still permitted as long as they - like the waxes from ZIPPS - comply with the limit values for certain PFAS.
The fluorine-free additives also help to reduce frictional resistance. However, they cannot achieve the effectiveness of fluorine waxes, particularly in terms of dirt and grease repellence.
Benefit from our ZIPPS ski waxes:
- Higher speed
- Longer ski life
- For all purposes
- Protection against dirt and corrosion
- Easy to use
- Less effort - for fun on the piste
For correct application, we offer video instructions with our ZIPPS ski waxes, for alpine and cross-country skis, snowboards and toboggans.
