Unfluorinated Coating
Fluorine-Free Coating
Since all production steps at ZIPPS are handled in-house, we can assure that our fluorine-free waxes comply with the regulations of FIS and IBU for participation in their competitions: 0% fluorine. This applies to both the wax material and the additives that tailor our waxes to their specific purposes.
No categorisation of waxes into Nordic or Alpine sports
You might be looking for a distinction between fluorine-free waxes for cross-country skiing and those for Alpine disciplines. Since this distinction in fluorinated waxes was based on the type of fluorination, it is unnecessary for fluorine-free products. Therefore, there is only one wax for all types of sports. However, the fluorine-free waxes still differ in terms of their areas of use (temperatures, weather, athletic demands).
Waxes are crucial for achieving high speed and manoeuvrability on skis. Fluorinated waxes are more effective at repelling dirt, water and oil (e.g. from soot or klister) on the slopes and trails. But thanks to our innovative formulations our ZeroFluor products enable effortless and enjoyable skiing at high speeds for all requirements.
An overview of our ZIPPS-Waxes according to their area of use and fluorination can be found in the following table.
