ZIPPS has put together a carefree package for ambitious skiers that contains everything you need to switch to unfluorinated waxes. It includes: 2 cleaners of 500ml each, that is a fluorinated cleaner C 3 F to dissolve the fluorine residues on the base and a fluorine-free cleaner C 31 to remove fluorinated cleaner residues. For waxing and priming, the package contains the hot wax ZFW 31 (135g), as well as the primer TopBase 21 (50ml). In addition, there are 50ml each of the fluorine-free racing waxes ZR 21, ZR 31 (HS) and ZR 41. To make cleaning fluorinated waxes a success, a hard nylon brush and a soft finishing brush are also included. Special price: Instead of 299 € individually, the package costs only 250 € in the online shop. Detailed instructions are of course included. Important note: Athletes participating in FIS or IBU races are advised to use a used and therefore dull fine steel brush for cleaning! Tests have shown that this is the most effective and safest way to remove fluorine waxes. The fine steel brush can be purchased in the ZIPPS shop from week 47.
The use of fluorine-free waxes is only mandatory for participants in FIS races and IBU races. All other skiers are allowed to use fluorinated ski waxes. Manufacturers are legally obliged to refrain from using certain fluorine compounds.
