ZIPPS Ski Wax on High Tours

With the ZIPPS Set Basic or the ZIPPS Set Skin, the pleasure tourer will find the ideal basic equipment for the weekend ski tour. With the help of the cork block, he impregnates the climbing skins with ZIPPS Universal Wax G and protects them from snow and ice adhesion. In gliding passages during the ascent, the wax is noticeable as a gliding aid. The skins can be prepared the evening before the tour. The Skin set or the Skin C1 cleaner complement this equipment with a skin and glue cleaner formulated not to attack the skins themselves or sensitive acrylic glues. The cleaner is not a hazardous material and can therefore be carried in checked baggage on aircraft.

The sporty ski mountaineers who demonstrate skiing and mountaineering skills under timekeeping at competitions will find the right products with the racing waxes of the ZR and SR series (finish sprays). At high altitudes and when not rolled, the top layer of snow is generally drier than on pistes. The higher fluorination of the waxes from the ZR HS(HighSpeed) series is less suitable for these conditions. Perfluor sprays, on the other hand, have been shown to work well.
