Since all production steps are in one hand at ZIPPS, we can say for the fluorine-free waxes that they comply with the strict regulations of the FIS and the IBU for participation in their competitions: 0% fluorine. This applies not only to the wax material, but also to the additives that adapt our waxes to their respective uses.
If you participate in an FIS or IBU competition, you should follow these precautions: clean the ski base very thoroughly, even several times! Use fluorine-free cleaners and, if possible, new brushes if you have applied fluorinated waxes in the past, because brushes can hardly be cleaned without leaving residues.
Fluorine-free waxes are generally not as powerful as their fluorinated counterparts in absorbing dirt and in damp conditions.
